Hey, I’m Daisy
I am a facilitator, founder, community-builder and coach.
For 5 years, I was co-Founder & Director of Routes, supporting women with experience of the UK asylum system to rebuild fulfilling lives, whilst simultaneously training people without refugee backgrounds to become more inclusive, empowering and intentional leaders. In April 2023 I stepped back from my day-to-day role, and now sit on the board as a Non-Executive Director.
I have designed and delivered workshops, talks and trainings for organisations across sectors and sizes, including NHS England, Liberty, Investec, UBS, Ben & Jerry’s and the School for Social Entrepreneurs.
"Daisy has a special knack for creating spaces which feel safe from people of all walks of life and drawing out of you what you might need in any given moment, through intentionality and care.." - Participant, 'Building a Ritual Calendar', January 2024
In 2019 I was listed as one of WISE’s top 100 Women in Social Enterprise, and was named one of the Big Issue’s Top 100 Changemakers. I have featured in Marie Claire Magazine, Positive News and on the Guilty Feminist Podcast.
In September 2023, I embarked on a Churchill Fellowship, which you can read more about here, and began working on a number of projects in a freelance capacity: I worked on the research and development of the Refugee Energy Hub: the’s UK’s first and only physical Hub for refugee sector organisations; helped out with Scene & Heard’s 25th anniversary celebrations; supported Turadh to welcome frontline workers in Scotland for some much needed rest in nature; and designed and delivered retreat days, informed by my fellowship research.
In September 2024, I moved to Cambridge Massachusetts, to start a new adventure: a three year long Master of Divinity at Harvard Divinity School.
If you want to get to know me even better, you can have a peek at some of my photos here - it’s a short but sweet collection of things I have found inspiring, calming and beautiful over the years, captured on 35mm film.
Oh, and my preferred pronouns are they/them. You can read more about the use of pronouns here.
